To realize the future...

It isn't enough to want to make your life better. It is a matter of opening up to who you really are and having change occur. This not only changes you but everyone else. Why? Because everyone is you and you are everyone else. We are playing this game for a season but someday we shall know as we are known. And when that happens we will all agree. ~ Derek Lamar

To realize the Word...

Please read these words several times.
Understand that as you read them that they are the TRUTH.
Understand as you read them it is you speaking to your self.
Understand as you read it you are speaking as your SELF to your SELF.
Grasp the meaning of the words.
Speak those words to yourself within your consciousness and feel them going out to yourself.
Hear those words and feel them come back to yourself.
Feel those words fill you up until you are full, completely satisfied knowing that what they say is True
and that you have no doubt within you.
Know this is not a phony affirmation but an actual realization of your SELF speaking to your SELF.
Realize also that this message came to you from yourself. ~ Derek Lamar
...is to become the vibration of Mind

To realize the Self...

Look at what you believe about yourself and let it go. Realize already, that this is NOT who you are. Who you are is the I AM self which is the realization of the I AM THAT I AM. You believe in separateness and that you are alone and apart from your environment and your experiences. But this is not so. When you realize that who you are is ONE with the ONE MIND which is all there is you will be FREE. You are not what you can be, you are what you already are. You do not need to make things happen to resolve disharmony, you but need to realize and accept your I AM and know that harmony already is and all that comes with that. There is nothing which is beyond your control. There is nothing which is above your reach. There is nothing which is unavailable to you. Say this to yourself: "I AM all that I desire to be. I AM all that I hope to be. I AM all that I wish to be. I AM all that I thought I never would be. I AM whole. I AM complete. I AM perfect. I give myself within consciousness to myself and I receive myself within my consciousness. I AM ONE." ~ Derek Lamar, PSI-chologist

To awake from my sleep...

Now you can say, "I know that I AM! I know that my health, my harmony, my perfection, my happiness, and my abundance of every good are not located in my body or in my affairs, but only in my real Self -- myself awake -- the I-Am-Self. Here abide my unalterable, undefilable health and wholeness; my perfect spiritual senses and their distinct activities; my ever conscious awareness of Reality as all there is; and my complete experience of every good thing. ~ Lillian DeWaters (The "I AM THAT I AM", 1938)
...is to be released from this human dream

To die to error...

When one feels like they are dying, they must look within to discover the need for change which is forcing such ideas to come upon a person. It is a dying to erroneous beliefs that one must begin to focus on. It is here one will find life. ~ Derek Lamar
...is to be born once more into Truth

To be in chaos...

"I have come to a higher level of thinking about what I've learned from other teachers and what I teach. I am convinced that great numbers of people should make a separate peace with that part of our nature that has always led to war." ~ Thane of Hawaii

"The unleased power of the atom has changed everything save our way of thinking; thus we drift toward unparalleled catastrophe." ~ Albert Einstein

"As we face our mortality mirrored in the world around us, we should begin to seek any understanding which relates to our collective desire to die. Truly we not only are attracting our end but we seek it like a Destiny whose arrival is ticking silently on our pillow. We must be willing to die psychologically and spiritually if we are to survive the crisis which is facing us here as we slide into the 21st century." ~ Derek Lamar
...is to face the wall resisting the order which is fighting to get out

To be in harmony is to be at one with oneself...

Among the purposes of all leaders, messiahs, messengers from the gods, and so forth, there was one fundamental and very important purpose: to find some means by which the two sides of man, and, therefore, the two sides of the earth, could live together in peace and harmony. He (Gurdjieff) said that time was very short -- it was necessary to achieve this harmony as soon as possible to avoid complete disaster. ~ Fritz Peters (Boyhood With Gurdjieff)
...and to be at one with oneself is to be one with all Being

To be is to be alive...

Every day is a journey into the self. Sometimes you feel great with what you see and other times you wonder where you went wrong. But don't walk through that door without knowing that your experience is just that, an experience. And each experience should place you closer to knowing that the Truth does not depend on how you feel, but on how it is. The Truth is you are MIND and you are already whole, complete and perfect. Your job is to let go of your doubt and to realize that this is so. ~ Derek Lamar, metaphysician
...and to be alive is to soar through the Universe in love

To drift...

Until thought is linked with purpose there is no intelligent accomplishment. With the majority the bark of thought is allowed to drift upon the ocean of life. Aimlessness is a vice, and such drifting must not continue for him who would steer clear of catastrophe and destruction. They who have no central purpose in their life fall an easy prey to petty worries, fears, troubles, and self-pityings, all of which are indications of weakness, which lead, just as surely as deliberately planned sins (though by a different route), to failure, unhappiness, and loss, for weakness cannot persist in a power-evolving universe. ~ James Allen (As A Man Thinketh,

To dwell upon...

The Vision that you glorify in your mind, the Ideal that you entrhone in your heart -- this you will build your life by, this you will become. ~ James Allen (As A Man Thinketh)

From a blade of grass...

Since everything existing is pervaded by the life of God, Infinite Beingness, and since we can learn from everyone and everything in creation, we may call "anyone or anything," in a "special sense," our guru. We read in the Kaula Tantras, "From Brahma to a blade of grass, all things are my gurus." ~ Thane Walker (The Teacher Whispers, 1972) Compiled by Norma Keller; published by The Prosperos

What of the seeds of a dandylion blowing in the breeze? Where shall they land and upon what ground shall they grow? Have you ever planted a dandylion seed? Do you know anyone who has? Or must they blow in the spirit of the wind landing wherever God wills? Have you ever tried to stop the seeds from growing? We don't want them growing in our fine manicured lawns because they stand out of place and throw off the decorative scheme of things, not unlike ideas which do not meld with the everyday ideas which seem to abound. We try hard to get rid of the dandylions in our yards and yet it is in our childlike nature which picks them, marvels at their infinity, blowing gently upon their vast potential and making a wish, wishing wishes were true. ~ Rama L. Kered

What I wanted to say...

Pulling something witty out of your hat really isn't as mystical as it seems. Even the writer who takes a week to write a paragraph is usually waiting and anguishing until that moment comes when what he wants to say simply "comes to him". But it usually comes down to getting out of the way and letting it happen. That is life. That is creativity. That is the Path. You work real hard at getting to that point where you don't work at all. And on that Sabbath, it all happens. ~ Derek Lamar, Fourth Way Teacher

Infinite supply...

In Truth we are in the presence of infinite supply. In consciousness or human perception we seem to come into supply step by step, gradually. All about us is the air, more of it than our human mind can imagine or picture; but we "have" only as much of it as we inhale and exhale through our lungs. What we "have" of the infinite air is according to our capacity to use. We have what we can use. What we can use may seem very small in comparison with all that there is; but we can increase our capacity if to do so serves any good purpose, and what we can use is the measure of our content and well-being. More than we can use is a uncomfortable as is less than we require. ...Supply is unlimited and instantaneous, but your supply is measured by your own consciousness or capacity. Your lungs have as much air as their capacity provides for. ...It is true that supply is unlimited, that it is everywhere present, available, immediately usable; but it is no more usable or immediately available to you than is your developed capacity to perceive, appropriate, and use it. Develop such a capacity if you wish to demonstrate supply. ~ Ernest C. Wilson ( The Great Physician, 1935)

I AM...

Employ.... to engage; an engagement... an appointment or arrangement... do we not employ the use of our hands when we reach down to pick up a stone? Is work something bad? Or is work merely doing an activity which someone else finds a value in that we are engaged in. Why do we resent when someone pays us to do something? Perhaps we resent being told what to do by someone else. So we then spend our entire life resenting the wrong people when usually it was our parents we were mad at all along. So much blame, so little time.

I AM...

I gave a beggar of my little store

Of well-earned gold. He spent the shining ore

And came again, and yet again, still cold

And hungry as before.

I gave a thought, and through that thought of mine

He found himself, the man, supreme, divine!

Fed, clothed, and crowned with blessings manifold.

And now he begs no more.

~ Ella Wheeler Wilcox

I AM...

It's easy to predict, for instance, greater and greater disorientation along with greater and greater change. It's easy to predict that men will be frustrated by their inability to cope with change, and may strike out at anything that represents change. (The Establishment-Anti-establishment conflict is just one version of this. The worker who fears the loss of his means of survival through automation is another. ) It's easy to predict that people who have lost their guidelines and can't be certain of which way to turn will become apathetic, inert and eventually withdrawn. It's easy to predict that something new must emerge. ~ Thane Walker

Man Is Dead. The emergence of twentieth first century mind is now. ~ Derek Lamar, futurist

I AM...

"You must admit you are ignorant. Yes. You must admit that there is something that you don't know about otherwise why are you here." ~ Thane Walker

The first step to learning is admitting that you don't know. Then you have begun opening the door to your self. This was an important thing my Teacher taught me/us. I thought to myself "I am not ignorant. I am smart. I am intelligent. I am among the elite who have been chosen to learn the mysteries. But I was foolish about what my ignorance was. Admitting that you are ignorant is to admit that there are things that you don't know thus you are actually creating a vacuum by realizing that there is unfulfilled categories within your own consciousness which must be dealt with. This is the beginning. This is the first step. You will pass through this door several times on your Path. It is a cleansing process. It helps scrape away all of the self imporantance which builds up along the way. We use that self importance to mask the pain that we feel as we reach into our wounds. We must open our wounds in order to be healed, not to wallow in our pain. The pain is only there to let go of, not to bury, and not to poke at over and over and over again. ~ Derek Lamar, student

I AM...

He who is wise in his own conceit, who approaches a subject in an attitude of doubt and resistance, will learn little. There is not much hope for him. But he who takes up any subject in an open mind, willing to learn anything that will contribute to his advancement, comfort and happiness, is wise. ~ John McDonald (The Message of The Master, 1929)

"As a man thinketh, so is he" are those famous words. But if you are what you think, then what you are is what is in your mind, in fact, it is your mind, therefore what you are is your mind, what you are is your consciousness. Therefore what you are is consciousness. If what you are is consciousness then anything you wish to be different you must "change" in your consciousness. It is your perception of reality within your "consciousness" which you MUST change. And in that way, your world shall change. ~ Derek Lamar

I AM...

Each man must sooner or later learn to stand alone with his God; nothing else avails. Nothing else will ever make you master of your own destiny. There is in your own indwelling Lord all the life and health, all the strength and peace and joy, all the wisdom and support that you can ever need or desire. No one can give to you as can this indwelling Father. He is the spring of all joy and comfort and power. ~ H. Emilie Cady (Lessons In Truth, 1884)

I AM...

You brought me here, under these stars, to be with what I see. And as I gaze, so far away, I am pulled into Eternity. A flash of light, lost to the blink of an eye, went streaking across the sky. Confused with the concept that I knew was true: that to live I would have to die, an easy feeling came over me and I relaxed and felt right at home, knowing now that never again was I ever to feel alone. There is no time, no space or change but the script within my mind. And the meaning of all of life it seems was to be found within my mind. I carry you with me in my loving thoughts with all I have come to see, and as I gaze past that streak of light I know that you are me. ~ Derek Lamar
...and I AM you

I AM...

There is in reality only one Mind (or Spirit, which is life, intelligence, and so forth) in the universe; and yet there is a sense in which we are individual, or separate, a sense in which we are free wills and not puppets. ~ H. Emilie Cady (Lessons In Truth, 1894)
...and I AM all there is

A New Year...

Deliverance is not for me in renunciation. I feel the embrace of freedom in a thousand bonds of delight. Thou ever pourest for me the fresh draught of Thy wine of various colors and fragrance, filling this earthen vessel to the brim. My world will light its hundred different lamps with Thy flame and place them before the altar of Thy temple. No, I will never shut the doors of my senses. The delights of sight and hearing and touch will bear Thy delight. Yes, all my illusions will burn into illuminations of joy, and all my desires ripen into fruits of Love. ~ Tagore

A New Year...

Is it so strange that as I stand in the light that I think about you? Would it seem right to stand in the light and ignore the rest of one's self. You cannot shut out the rest of the world and know who you are. The rest of the world is who you are. Stand in the light and embrace the One Mind which is the Reality which dissolves all conflict. ~ Derek Lamar
